Avengers Infinity War is on a record-breaking spree! Marvel's latest superhero ensemble has broken so many records in its opening weekend itself, that many are predicting that there is a high chance that it could beat Avatar in being the highest grossing movie of all time at the worldwide box office. As of now, it has already made so many records for himself, as it grossed $630 million worldwide, that too without releasing in China yet. Avengers Infinity War has got the highest opening weekend in the USA as well overseas.
In India too, the movie has been doing tremendous business. Having released in 2000 plus screens in multiple languages, Avengers Infinity War has got the highest opening weekend for a Hollywood film. It has collected Rs 94.3 crore in three days (Friday: Rs 31.3 crore; Saturday: Rs 30.5 crore and Sunday: Rs 32.5 crore). Previously, this record was held by The Jungle Book with Rs 40.47 crore. Infinity War has beaten this record with more than double collections. Interestingly both the movies are produced by Disney.
Avengers Infinity War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously made Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War for Marvel Cimematic Universe. Infinity War is the touted as the beginning of the end of the 18-movie journey that came before, commencing with 2008's Iron Man. The movie has opened up to positive reviews from the critics and the audience, who have praised it for handling its huge cast, multiple arcs, visual effects and its game-changing climax with dexterity. The story will be continued in Avengers 4, that will release in May next year.
