If you have seen Avengers Infinity War, after avoiding the spoilers, you would have undoubtedly been stunned by the climax. SPOILER ALERT -  The climax of the movie had the villain Thanos acquire all the six Infinity Stones, which he puts on his gauntlet and then snaps his fingers. With that snap, half the living beings in the universe get obliterated, including superheroes like Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Drax, Mantis, Groot, Falcon and Bucky, not to mention Nick Fury and Maria Hill. It was such a shocker as such a move was never expected from Marvel.

But if you had been following Mark Ruffalo when he was promoting the movie, you would have realised that he had actually 'leaked' the climax way back in 2017! Now Ruffalo, as well as fellow-cast member Tom Holland (who plays Spider-Man), are both notorious for not being able to contain their excitement when speaking to the media and inadvertently leaking spoilers. Remember the incident when Ruffalo had accidentally live-streamed the first 15 minutes of Thor: Ragnarok before better sense prevailed?

In case of Avengers Infinity War, the leak happened when Mark Ruffalo was talking to Good Morning America along with Don Cheadle (who plays War Machine) at the D23 Expo. Ruffalo was talking about Thor: Ragnarok that was about to release and he had difficulty containing himself as to whether he should tell the host how the movie ends. When a stern Cheadle tells him that's his movie, Ruffalo tells the interviewer that the film won't end all good for the heroes. The interviewer then started talking about how Marvel movies tend to have 'bittersweet' endings, as he said, "Somebody always bites. Or somebody always gets really badly hurt."

To which, Ruffalo replied, "Wait till you see the next. Ha... everybody dies." Cheadle jumped in and stopped Ruffalo, saying, "Dude!". That's when Ruffalo realised that he had said something he shouldn't have, and tried to do damage control by weakly saying not everyone dies and whether this part will be edited out. Check out the video below -

To his good luck, nobody took his quote seriously then, as no one thought the feel-good Marvel would dare to kill half its heroes. But the fact is, Ruffalo did spoil the movie a year ago, and now we realise that we had been warned. BTW, I am sure Marvel will be cautious when sending out Ruffalo to promote their movie ahead of Avengers 4 release.
