Avengers Infinity War Box Office Collection Day 5: Marvel's Superhero Film Continues Its Strong Progress, Collects Rs 135.16 Crore
Marvel's latest superhero film is going strong at the Indian box office.
Marvel's latest superhero film is going strong at the Indian box office. Avengers: Infinity War that had released on April 27 had already grossed more than Rs 100 crore within four days of its releases, something we never heard of a Hollywood movie to do so. Going by its current speed, there is a good chance that Infinity War would dethrone Disney's 2016 film The Jungle Book as Hollywood's highest grossing film in India and also be the first Hollywood film to gross more than Rs 200 crore at the box office.
Currently, as it ends its fifth-day run, Avengers Infinity War has made Rs 135.16 crore (Gross Box office collections - Rs 173.28 crore) at the box office. On the fifth day itself, it had made Rs 20.34 crore, which is not bad since the movie has refused to go down below Rs 20 crore on any single day. It also had the advantage of enjoying holidays of Buddha Purnima on Monday and Maharashtra Day on Tuesday, along with the weekend business.
We have to see how the movie performs when Amitabh Bachchan's 102 Not Out and Rajkummar Rao's Omerta arrives this Friday.
Overseas, Avengers Infinity War has been breaking records after records; it has already achieved the biggest opening weekend for any movie in both the USA and worldwide. Its worldwide collections in five days have already overshadowed Justice League's lifetime collections. As per the last box office update, the movie has grossed more than $726 million worldwide. It is yet to release in Russia and China.
