It is not surprising to hear that critics have raved about Avengers: Endgame. The reviews from film critics in the West have shared their thoughts on the film. They have all been positive as anticipated. By calling it overwhelmingly ambitious with impeccable exchanges and brawls, the heroes assemble for one last time to chase away the purple antagonist who wreaked havoc and took away most of their comrades.
Starring Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Josh Brolin, Danai Gurira and more, the movie completes the decade long journey of the Avengers. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film is set to release on April 26. And here's how all the reviews are so far -
The Hollywood Reporter has called the film, "an amiable brand of melancholy that pervades the film, one that scarcely gets in the way of the enthusiasm and excitement that Marvel adventures almost always deliver in some measure or another. The feeling of finality and potential farewell is sometimes suggested quietly just in the way certain moments are lingered over, conveying the fatalistic sense that this might well be the last time around the block for some of these characters. At the rate it's going, Marvel will be around for the better part of forever, but this will likely be the studio swan song for a number of the castmembers."

The three-hour film is ambitious, emotional and affecting, as stated by IGN. The critic further adds, "Avengers: Endgame is easily the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most ambitious, emotional, and affecting film to date, somehow managing to tie up more than a decade of storytelling in a confident (and most coherent) climax - a hurdle that many other blockbuster franchises have stumbled over in their final runs."

A critic from Gizmodo called the film impacting, "If Endgame’s ambitious storytelling is what makes it so impactful, it also causes a few stumbles. There are moments where plot points play out a little too conveniently or with not enough explanation in comparison to the rest of the story." Collider's film reviewer stated, "Endgame isn’t a quest for a perfect resolution for every single superhero, nor is it a celebration of the status quo... Endgame never feels like a victory parade but a story with its own stakes and dangers. This is the landing that the MCU had to stick, and for the most part, they nail it."

Comicbook.com's film critic wrote that "(Endgame) is a love letter to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, I'd argue that Avengers: Endgame is the film event of our lifetime and lives up to every bit of global hype it has garnered." Meanwhile, Empire's critic wrote about the metaphorical gut punches that brought about a satisfying end, "...expect metaphorical gut punches galore in this early section, before they come up with a plan that just might work to put things right and deliver a satisfying gut punch to the purple bastard who ruined things. But it’s surprisingly funny even in its darkest moments."
