Avengers EndGame: Don't Expect Trailers To Show More Than First 15 Minutes of the Movie, Warns MCU Chief Kevin Feige
Avengers Endgame will release on April 26.
When it comes to Hollywood, there is no upcoming movie that is so much discussed and dissected as Avengers 4 aka Avengers EndGame. The Marvel superhero ensemble film is touted as the biggest movie of 2019 that could mark the end of the journey of a couple of fan favourite characters like Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark/Iron Man and Chris Evans' Steve Rogers/Captain America. After months of wait, we got the first trailer of Avengers EndGame in the first week of December 2018, and it left the Marvel fans in a further state of gloom, after Thanos snapped half the living universe into oblivion at the end of Avengers Infinity War. The trailer showed the surviving superheroes struggling to live against the consequences of that event, with Tony Stark being lost in space and Hawkeye now a samurai assassin. However, if you go by Kevin Feige's new revelation, what we saw in the trailer was just the first 15 minutes of the film. Moreover, any future promos and publicity material will not go beyond this opening footage of the film. Apparently, the makers are damn serious about not spoiling the film for the fans. Feige revealed this information when he was speaking to MTV News on the red carpet of Golden Globes 2019. Talking about how marketing team will footage of the opening 15 minutes of the film in trailers, he said, "I'd call it somewhat accurate. As was the case with a lot of our films, this one, in particular, being able to generate a lot of excitement without giving away one of the many, many, many secrets. I think the Disney marketing team is the best in the world and we'll be able to pull it off."
Considering how excited we are about this film, we are all in support for Feige's and Disney's marketing team's idea of not spoiling the movie in the trailers itself. Interestingly, Avengers Infinity War and Endgame have both been shot simultaneously with only the patchwork for the latter completed recently. Both the Avengers films are directed by Russo Brothers. Endgame will release on April 26.
