The one half of Avengers Infinity War directors, Joe Russo, is in India to begin the promotional campaign for Avengers EndGame. The fact that India is one of the first countries where the campaign has begun shows how important the country plays in the target market for Disney and Marvel Studios, who are backing the movie. Therefore India has played an integral part in the discussion with Joe Russo in which LatestLY was also a part of. When asked about the kind of Bollywood movies he has watched, Joe Russo gave us some very surprising answers and divulged some more information that left us stunned. He revealed a very key trivia about an Avengers movie that almost lifted off a scene from an Indian film. Yes, you read it right. Joe Russo told us how the climax of Avengers: Age of Ultron was almost inspired by the climax of the 2010 Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan film, Enthiran aka Robot. If you have seen the Tamil film, that was directed by S Shankar, you would remember the scene where the clones of the rogue robot Chitti (Rajinikanth) came together to form a giant Chitti (as well as a ball and a snake). A similar scene was planned for Age of Ultron when the many Ultron drones were to come together to form one big Ultron and the Avengers would have to fight this homogeneous form. Unfortunately, the scene was scrapped for time constraint. Avengers: Age of Ultron, interestingly, was directed, not by Russo Brothers, but by Joss Whedon.

We wonder if Marvel also got to watch the sequel to Enthiran, 2.0 starring Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, that came out in 2018, made on a much larger budget and scope. Avengers EndGame Trailer: Is Marvel Studios Fooling Us With ‘Iron Man on Earth’ Reveal?
On a separate note, Joe Russo also talked about how he has watched Salman Khan's Dabangg 1 and 2, and how he admires Priyanka Chopra. He also hinted that he may be in talks with Priyanka over a project. Could that be Ms Marvel aka Kamala Khan movie? We can't wait!
Meanwhile, Avengers: EndGame is all set to release on April 26. It marks the culmination of the three phases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, comprising of 21 films that came before.
