The concluding chapter of the Avengers Infinity War saga is all set to release next year during summer. The makers of Avengers 4, yet to get an official title, are keeping the fans pretty much excited while only sharing little teases about the film. The Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, have recently wrapped up the shoot for the film, and have been posting weird pictures and hints about the movie, one of which could have been the title of the film. Avengers 4 Trailer, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Namor: MCU Boss Kevin Feige Makes Big Revelations.

Now the latest information that the directors have shared is that Avengers 4 could be the Marvel movie with the longest runtime. Joe Russo shared this information in a recent live Q&A session on Instagram. He said, "The running time on Avengers 4 is currently sitting right at three hours. We’ll see if that holds”.

Well, with so much to pack in the concluding portion of the Infinity War saga, not to mention more than 70 plus characters in the story, we are not surprised if the runtime is that long. While there is a chance that it won't stay at a 3-hour runtime, the directors had earlier confirmed that Avengers 4 would still remain the longest MCU movie to date. Avengers 4: Katherine Langford Joins the MCU Movie and Adds 13 More Reasons Why You Should Watch the Movie.

In the same fan session, Joe also shared where they are with the movie's progress. He said, "We’re about halfway through the editing process. We’re really just scratching the surface on our VFX shots. There are more than 3,000 VFX shots in the movie; those require a lot of time and thought and energy and effort, and we’re very early in the phase of getting VFX done. We’ve just started work with Alan Silvestri on the score, and we’re still editing picture at this point." This could also mean that the trailer too might get delayed.

Avengers 4 is scheduled to release in May 2019. It could also be the last MCU featuring Captain America, as Chris Evans' contract with the franchise ends.
