Ariana Grande has had a tough year and to put a cherry on the - not so celebratory - cake has now called it quits with fiance Pete Davidson. The initial report of their breakup was first shared on TMZ. From the looks of recent events that occurred, it isn't a big surprise that they finally clipped the remaining nail shrapnel! As per a report on People, a source told them that the relationship happened a little too soon even for them to comprehend!
The God Is A Woman singer first met ex-beau Davidson back in 2016 on the sets of Saturday Night Live as she was a musical guest for the night. However, it was only recently in May 2018 that the couple started dating each other after ending their respective relationships. Things soon escalated as reports of Grande and Davidson being betrothed started doing the rounds. Ariana even confirmed that the couple were engaged. This happened at the start of June.
At the time of the engagement news, a source had quoted to People, "It’s a recent engagement. They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding." A wedding was set to take place soon after the engagement, reported Grande. However, with the loss of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller in September, who reportedly died of an overdose, Ariana faced a lot of heartaches. She decided to take some time off from her schedule to let her heart heal.
During this time, the couple even got a pet pig who has been an emotional help to the singer. It can be stated that the couple had a good summer romance that fizzled out. Grande has been suffering from PTSD since the bombing incident at her concert in Manchester in 2017.
