A report in BoxOfficeIndia.com stated, "Aquaman has done well over the holiday period and emerged a HIT film. The film is the fourth highest grossing Hollywood film of 2018 after Avengers - Infinity War, Jurassic World - Fallen Kingdom and Mission Impossible - Fallout with Black Panther and Deadpool 2 being the other two films to cross 50 crore nett. The film should finish around the 55 crore nett mark."

At the worldwide box office, Jason Momoa starrer has already earned $940 million thus surpassing the collections of other DCEU movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, Man of Steel, and Justice League. However, Aquaman is neither the highest grossing DC movie nor the highest grossing superhero movie. But the way Momoa's film is currently cruising at the ticket windows, its very much likely that Aquaman will end up breaking a few more records at the worldwide BO.

Apart from Jason Momoa, Aquaman also stars Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Willem Dafoe, Dolph Lundgren and Nicole Kidman in important roles. Made on a reported budget of $160 million, the film opened to mixed reviews from critics globally.
