In this special feature, we will look at seven scenes in the movie that impressed the geek-boy in us. Also, as it goes with stories like these, there are HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD. So read it at your own risk!
So the sequel to the 2015 Marvel superhero film, Ant-Man, is here and as is the trend these days, the franchise doesn't disappoint again. For Ant-Man and The Wasp is a hilarious, entertaining film with loads of action, great VFX and delightful performances from nearly everyone in the cast, especially Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Pena. Director Peyton Reed, who had to helm the first movie after the acclaimed Edgar Wright left the project, shows once again that he is the right man for the job, as he handles action, humour and emotional scenes with the right amount of dexterity.
It may not be a patch of Avengers: Infinity War when it comes to scope and impact, but in its smaller ambitions, the movie revels in what it has to offer. View it as a standalone movie, away from the events of the Infinity War, and you are sure to get some paisa vasool entertainment. ICYMI, here's our complete review of Ant-Man & The Wasp.

A de-aged Michelle Pfeiffer
The first Ant-Man movie did an amazing job of making Michael Douglas younger. The sequel goes one step ahead and makes not just Douglas go younger again, but also make Pfeiffer look like she hasn't come out of the '90s era.
Paul Rudd doing karaoke
I had mentioned in my review of Ant-Man & The Wasp about how Paul Rudd is the best genius casting Marvel has done after Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man. And he doesn't even need to so superhero stuff to floor us. Even a montage of him fooling around, playing karaoke and learning magic tricks is enough.
The Wasp taking on Sonny Burch's goons
The first action bit doesn't belong to the Ant-Man; it is to show how badass a superhero Evangeline Lilly's The Wasp is. Even more than Lang himself. She doesn't bat an eyelid as she takes on the henchmen of the black market tech dealer, Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins), while displaying her flying skills and shooters. The portion in the kitchen in the kitchen is the icing on the cake.
Scott Lang getting stuck mid-size
When Lang, Hope and Hank Pym go to retrieve Ant-Man's old suit from Casey's school, Lang's new suit malfunctions mid-way. This results in him getting stuck in the size of a little kid, leading to some hilarious jokes.
Luis taking the 'truth serum'
When Sonny questions Luis about the whereabouts of Lang, he makes his henchman Usman administer a drug that will coax him to tell the truth. After a whole debate of whether it is the truth serum or not, Luis finally gets injected and he gets into his trademark flashback mode, starting from where he met Lang the first time and how he is rooting for Lang and Hope to get together. But no, none of that answers Burch's question!
The final half an hour
The final half an hour is just one whole crazy ride as Scott, Hope and Luis are chased by the Ghost and also by Sonny and his henchmen over a shrunken Pym lab, while the FBI is also in pursuit. Things get shrunken, things get enlarged and there is a whole funny sequence of ants getting eaten by birds. Parallel to this track is also Hank Pym getting into Quantum Realm himself to get Janet back. This track has some wonderful VFX to display and leading to a beautiful conclusion.
Mid-credit sequence
Ah, the snap! It is this scene that makes us realise that the events of Ant-Man & The Wasp happen just before Infinity War. As Scott goes into Quantum Realm to get more matter to cure Ghost, the snap happens and Hank, Janet and Hope get obliterated. This leaves an oblivious Scott trapped in the Realm, making us ask this - has Quantum Realm saved Scott from Thanos' snap? Ignore the end-credit scene, though.
Planning to see Ant-Man & The Wasp this weekend?
