Ant-Man's David Dastmalchian will be seen returning to Warner Bros to play an antagonist in James Gunn's upcoming Suicide Squad. Currently, Gunn is busy recruiting a new squad as he has taken over the job to come up with the sequel to David Ayer's 2016 film, Suicide Squad. So far, the filmmaker managed to rope in Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), and Amanda Walker (Viola Davis) along with new faces, Idris Elba and John Cena, whose roles haven't been specified yet.

Dastmalchian will portray the role of the comic book villain, Polka-Dot Man. The makers have ensured to keep the plot and script of the film has secretive as possible. Perhaps they are following Marvel films' protocol of keeping everything under wraps. For those who are unaware of Polka-Dot Man, the villain first debuted in 1962's Detective Comics No. 300.

Originally known as Abner Krill, a low-level thug who tried to make a name for himself by leaving a spot-themed crime scene, he had spots on his costume too that would transform into buzzsaws and flying saucers on command. Basically, a super suit with a lot of gimmicks for the antagonist to showcase his talents. While Polka-Dot Man didn't really marvel fans for his "lame" tricks, Gunn plans to spice things up in the upcoming Suicide Squad film.

This surely is a big leap in David Dastmalchian's career as he will be the central villain in a feature film. You probably remember him as the creepy dude who got caught in The Dark Knight, as one of Joker's accomplices. You also know him as the ex-convict Kirt in Marvel Studios' Ant-Man film. And now you'll know him as the baddie in James Gunn's Suicide Squad.
