Gary Dauberman who was the writer of the Annabelle series will mark this directorial debut with this spin-off. Also, Dauberman's writing credits include Andres Muschietti's big screen adaptation of Stephen King's It. Whereas The Annabelle: Creation (2017) was a prequel based on the backstory of the girl's murderous spree. It had a backstory that the dollmaker's wife invited the spirit of their dead daughter into the doll only to realize a demon had taken her up on the offer. The interesting fact about Annabelle Comes Home is that old players, the Paranormal Investigatiors Ed and Lorraine Warren played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, will star in this awaited horror film. Earlier this year, Warner Bros announced July 3, 2019 as the release date for a then-untitled film in the Conjuring universe.
