Speaking about venturing into a new platform, author Stephen King quoted, “I’m excited and so very pleased that The Stand is going to have a new life on this exciting new platform. The people involved are men and women who know exactly what they’re doing; the scripts are dynamite. The result bids to be something memorable and thrilling. I believe it will take viewers away to a world they hope will never happen.”
For quite a long time, Boone has been working towards developing The Stand. He was only 12 years when he first read Stephen King and since then, he has been obsessed with the work. It would be intriguing to see what the filmmaker has in store for us and whether the deal to rope in the said actors works in their favour.
