If the makers had stuck to their original plan, then we would have already geared up to watch Alita: Battle Angel in the month of December itself. However, in its aim to avoid a clash with other biggies like Mortal Engines, Aquaman, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and Mary Poppins Returns, Battle Angel Alita has been pushed to a February 2019 release. Hollywood movie buffs in India will be lucky enough to watch the film here a week before the USA, as Alita: Battle Angel will be releasing here on February 8, 2019 by Fox Star India. Alita Battle Angel Trailer: James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez Come Together for an Action-Packed Visual Extravaganza.

With the announcement also comes the new trailer, which is far more action-packed than the previous promos. And a little bit more spoiler-ish too. The trailer follows Alita (Rosa Salazar) who has awakened in a future world where cyborgs are on the prowl, and with no memory of her past. She is taken under the care of a doctor (Christoph Waltz). As she adjusts to her new reality, she also faces some threats to her life from other enemy bots, while also trying to keep her killer instinct down.

The new trailer is aimed at the action aficionados, with scenes of Alita taking many androids in what seems to be a gladiator like competition. We also get a glimpse of Mahersala Ali's character in the film.
