Aladdin New Clip: Will Smith Recreates Robin Williams’ Song Prince Ali from the Original Film – Watch Video

In just a few weeks we will get to watch the live-action version of Aladdin. The excitement for the film was through the roof when it was announced in 2017. Even our Bollywood babe, Tara Sutaria, auditioned for the role of Jasmine (spoiler alert: she didn't get it). Well, quick forward to the day when the first footage of the movie was released and rocky phase began for Aladdin. The internet was divided over the film. Prince Ali was one of the most popular songs in the original animated Aladdin. The song has been reprised for the live-action film and the music video was released today. We see Will Smith, as Genie, grooving and singing the number. For the original film in 1992, Prince Ali was performed by Robin Williams. Now, that surely is a performance tough to top. We'd leave the decision up to you if Will Smith topped the original performance or not. But we definitely feel Will's version comes fairly close to Robin's song.

Aladdin has been directed by Guy Ritchie. He also co-wrote the film with John August. The movie also stars Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Mena Massoud as the title character. Aladdin is set to release on May 24.
