Can entertainment media overseas take a break? Because we have way too much D-R-A-M-A-A-A going on in India already with Deepika Padukone's wedding, Priyanka Chopra's wedding, Neha Dhupia's baby, Shahid Kapoor's newborn, #MeToo movement and soo much more. So, if foreign media can stop writing salty articles about women of colour in the acting field, it would really take some load off of us. We are still reeling from the "sexist, racist and disgusting" - in Sonam K Ahuja's words - article published by The Cut targetting Priyanka. The article called our Desi Girl a "global scam artist" for getting Nick Jonas to marry her "against his will". Now, another article targetting Priyanka's good friend Meghan Markle is also going viral on the internet.

In fact, the article, elaborately titled 'Meghan Markle is a ruthless social climbing actress who has landed the role of her life and is determined to milk it for all she can - and that’s why the Palace is beginning to turn on her' was published a day before 'Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s Love for Real?' and is also facing steam from people.

Popular English journalist Piers Morgan wrote about his experience with Meghan Markle for Daily Mail. He claims that he was a good friend of the Suits actress until she met Prince Harry. After which she ghosted him. "...when someone more important and influential came along, in the shape of Prince Harry, I was instantly dumped like a sack of spuds (that’s what we call potatoes in the UK)," he wrote. While citing more examples of people she allegedly removed from her life, he added, "And anyone or anything that may not give her what she wants or gets in the way of her social climbing self-advancement gets discarded".

The journalist further addresses the rumours of Meghan Markle's alleged diva attitude at the Palace. He then calls Meghan Markle "a self-obsessed professional actress who has landed the role of her life and is determined to milk it for all she’s worth" for marrying into the royal family.

"But she’s now finding out the hard way that if you try to ‘play’ the Royals and the Royal Household like she played people like me, you’ll come up against a system you can never beat," he concluded.

Okay, then. Before we point out the very obvious we'd like to share a few sentiments shared by readers of the article.

Well, now coming to the most striking point. Piers Morgan is one of the journalists who has admitted playing a distant role in the circumstances that resulted in the death of Prince Harry's mother Princess Diana. Piers, was the editor of the Daily Mirror when tragedy hit the Royal Family in August 1997. In an interview with The Telegraph in August 2007, he accepted that editors had not done enough to control the disturbing intrusions of freelance photographers. He had said, "Everyone working on national newspapers, in the first few days after she died, felt a collective sense that the paparazzi were out of control in relation to Diana. She was the biggest celebrity we have ever seen and it got completely out of hand."

Now we will let you all reader put two and two together. But again dissing someone unnecessarily won't be a new avenue that Piers has explored. The man has already faced scrutiny for condemning Ariana Grande for not visiting the victims of the terrorist attack at her Manchester concert. In an article, that he wrote last year, describing his run-ins with Princess Diana, Piers said, "I was now trapped on Planet Diana, a crazy place where she called all the shots and behaved how the hell she liked, oblivious to the consequences." This article, too, received flak. Well, seems like someone has indeed figured out a way to climb the ladder. We wonder if like The Cut article on Priyanka Chopra, Daily Mail would take down the one written on Meghan Markle.

Priyanka Chopra attended Meghan Markle's royal wedding to Prince Harry on May 19, 2018, at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom.
