The second trailer of Brad Pitt starrer Ad Astra has been dropped by Fox Studios. Pitt stars as an astronaut, Major Roy McBride, who is setting off into space for an expedition and to find his long-lost father (essayed by Tommy Lee Jones). Directed and written by James Gray as well as Ethan Gross, the film also stars Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler and Donald Sutherland in pivotal roles. The trailer opens with Major Roy McBride, entering a sound-proof room, seating himself in the middle of the room and reading out a message that he as written for his father. He states how he is trying to reach Dr Clifford McBride, while a throng of the audience is seated on the other side of the mirror, hearing his message. Amid all the clips of him preparing himself for the mission, you can hear McBride say, “I've dedicated my life to the exploration of space, and I thank you for that.” Speaking about the film, Gray did mention that Ad Astra will represent some of the "most depiction of space travel". With a release date of September 20, the film has been produced by Pitt, Gray, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Anthony Katagas, Rodrigo Teixeira, and Arnon Milchan. The trailer certainly promises that there is more to this film and fans would love to see what Pitt and Jones have in store for us!
