American actress Cynthia Nixon famous for her role of Miranda Hobbes in Sex and the City put up a very heartwarming post accepting her eldest son being a transgender. Her eldest son, Samuel Joseph Moses is a transgender and Nixon has always been an advocate of LGBT rights in the US. She particularly spoke for same-sex marriage. On the account of her son Seph's college graduation, she put a picture and celebrated the 14th Annual Trans Day of Action. Nixon is currently running for the New York Governor candidacy.
Her 21-year old son Samuel was originally named Samantha and she publicly acknowledged the fact in public for the first time. She wrote, "I’m so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Moses (called Seph) who graduated college this month. I salute him and everyone else marking today’s #TransDayofAction. #TDOA" The actress also posted a picture about the ongoing Pride month and emphasized on Transgender rights.

The picture shows both immensely happy of their identities. It also celebrated the Trans Day of Action, which is an annual rally held in New York City to protest against the continued violence, discrimination, and institutionalization the Transgender community. Samuel, earlier Samantha was born in November 1996, to Cynthia and her then partner, Danny Mozes. She later married her current married partner Christine Marinoni in May 2012. Cynthia has been very private about her personal matters but this post is definitely a special surprise. Cynthia has been a part of many pride events without her son in attendance but this post speaks a lot than that presence.
