Heeramandi actor Jason Shah, who plays Officer Cartwright in the Netflix series, confessed in a recent interview that he was addicted to sex and that he found it hard to get rid of the addiction. He said it took time to kick the habit because he found it hard to say no, as it felt good. The Bigg Boss 10 contestant said he made some of the worst decisions in his life influenced by sexual pleasures. One day, he had a moment of introspection and decided to fix things. "I was at a friend’s house and I saw a girl leaving, as always. I felt bad about hurting her. Jason Shah said now he has sworn off sex until he gets married. He feels once you get sexually involved with someone, the emotions get stronger. David Duchovny

In 2008, Hollywood actor David Duchovny, who played a sex-crazed writer on the show Californication, admitted that he was checking into rehab to get treated for sex addiction. Way back in 1997, when he was seen on The X Files, the actor had denied that he was seeking counselling for the matter. Duchovny had told Playboy magazine that he was not a sex addict. His wife Tea Leoni was quite supportive throughout.

Russell Brand

In 2009, British comedian Russell Brand wrote in his memoir why he was a sex addict. He talked about his time in a de-addiction centre in Philadelphia, USA. Brand has spoken openly about the sex disorder and urged people to seek help.
