The new poster of 'Gully Boy' featuring actor Ranveer Singh is out! The actor, who will be seen sharing the screen space with Alia Bhatt in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, took to the photo-sharing app to share the new poster. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be collaborating for the first time. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar and bankrolled by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, the film is an upcoming musical drama, where will be seen portraying the role of the Mumbai street rapper and the actor has been prepping hard to step into his character.
Talking about the picture, Ranveer’s character is seen showing his back to the camera as he stares into the distance at a building. Also, the faint notes on the poster are lyrics written by Ranveer’s character. Ranveer's character appears to be wearing the same hoodie from the first-look images released in February, 2018.

Describing Gully Boy as a "great underdog story," earlier in a statement to the news agency IANS, Ranveer Singh had said, "This is a story that means a lot to me. To tell a story of the youth from the streets of Mumbai, who live a very tough existence and have a lot of battle to fight and they in the battle of life they come out and triumph. They find their inspiration through music and art. The music that is socially relevant. So, it was important for me to also give a platform to all this new talent."
On the professional front, Alia, who was last seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi along with Vicky Kaushal, will soon be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra with his rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, which is slated to hit the silver screens on December 20, 2019. Meanwhile, Ranveer is currently riding high on the success of his recently released film Simmba, helmed by Rohit Shetty. The actor also has Kabir Khan’s 83 (Kapil Dev biopic) lined up.
