From 'Line Wahin Se Shuru Hoti Hai' to 'Line Kahan Hai'? Amitabh Bachchan Is Losing Both His Cool and Twitter Followers!
Amitabh Bachchan's twitter followers are reducing, and he doesn't seem to be taking it too well.
Amitabh Bachchan is one Bollywood celebrity who has it all - fame, talent, good looks, good health and a solid fan following. After a successful career spanning almost fifty years, Amitabh Bachchan is still popular and immensely loved; he is a brand in himself. The actor, unlike others from his generation, has also built a social media presence and actively tweets every day. And he is very sentimental about his Twitter account. He also has a list of celeb fan following on Twitter who replies to his birthday wishes and who follows or unfollows him. No, we aren't exaggerating; Mr. Bachchan is indeed that touchy about his Twitter and he even numbers his tweets. Now with that amount of dedication, he obviously gets irked when other celebrities get more followers than him and is overjoyed when someone compliments him, agrees with him or follows him.
See for yourself -
In December 2017, he announced his follower count reaching 80 million, with a tweet that almost looked like an invitation to a carnival -
In January 2018, when he lost some followers, (which was possibly a part of Twitter's attempt to clean up bots), he tweeted about it. It appeared to be something said in good humour that time .....
In February 2018, the Twitter team personally got in touch with Mr Bachchan and tried to explain him everything. And of course, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted about it. Duh?
But soon the Shahenshah was again looking at his dropping number of followers and getting concerned. He requested Twitter to look into it.
And requested again ....
But it didn't help...
And then he took to sarcasm -
And then he got personal -
Fans joined too and started a 'Hope you understand Twitter' movement. Mr Bachchan enthusiastically retweeted all of them -
Sigh!!! This seems like an endless war between Bollywood's biggest superstar and Twitter. While our Angry Young Man is not ready to back off, Twitter doesn't seem to be taking notice at all.
Though, we hope and pray they sort this soon. And no matter how odd it is getting, we absolutely adore Mr Bachchan's childlike enthusiasm and competitive spirit!
