FIR Against Kanika Kapoor: Baby Doll Singer and Her Manager Alleged of Cheating With Rs 24.95 Lakh
Kanika Kapoor rose to fame with Sunny Leone starrer ‘Baby Doll’ from the movie Ragini MMS 2.
A complaint has been registered against the Baby Doll fame singer Kanika Kapoor and her manager by a Noida based event management firm. There have also been filed criminal cases of cheating and intimidation against the singer by Aligarh police as reported in TOI. The owner of the film, Manoj Sharma filed the complaint as the Kapoor was paid to perform at an exhibition in Aligarh on January 22. However, she did not show up on the said day despite getting the payment beforehand. The 36-year-old singing sensation also refused to return the money which was Rs 24.95 lakh including flight and hotel stay facilities.
The absence of the popular singer reportedly maligned the reputation of the owner. He has also decided to file a defamation suit against her. “Kanika Kapoor along with her manager, Shruti, and the manager of Mumbai based event management company, Santosh Mijger, were booked under section 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 507 (criminal intimidation),” said the officers at Aligarh Police Station. There has been no response to the row by Kanika until now.
