We hope the date doesn't change now.  Speculations were rife that the trailer of Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer would release during the first week of October as some work in the VFX department is still pending and some edges need to be fine-tuned before the trailer is made available for the fans to cheer about. It was even suggested that the release day may be further pushed into the month of the end of the month. But much our surprise, the teaser is all set to release on the Auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi 13th September 2018!

Either the makers are getting too much into the detailing of the film or the release date is totally jinxed. This is a highly anticipated film since it marks Aki's entry in South. What is even more exciting is that he is playing the antagonist in this one. Khiladi Kumar himself took to Twitter to announce the new release date of the taeser. " Prepare for #2Point0! Teaser out on September 13, 2018." Wrote Akshay.

Even Karan Johar took to Twitter as even he could not contain his excitement about the movie. "Karan has been looking forward to this mega ambitious project and the subject matter would often crop up in his commentaries at various even. I am exceptionally proud and honoured to present the MEGA and MAMMOTH cinema experience - @shankarshanmugh's EXCEPTIONAL vision is soon coming your way. Watch this space for more! #2Point0," wrote Karan!

2.0 is touted to be India's most expensive movie, with special effects on par with that of Hollywood movies. And it is precisely that what is causing delays in the post-production of the movie!
