Baaghi 2 is currently flying high at the box office and the lead stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani are over the moon. While the leading lady has this reason to celebrate, she already has bagged another big budget movie, that will definitely play as a milestone in her filmy career. Sundar C's fictional period drama 'Sangamithra' is all set to roll on the budget of whopping Rs 400 crore. After Shruti Haasan opted out of the film suddenly, the film was reported to be shelved. However, the makers have got Disha on board and the prep has already begun. The movie is said to be in two parts just like Baahubali franchise.
A source close to the development told Mirror, " The film will be on the lines of SS Rajamouli’s period-drama Baahubali and will release in two parts. Shooting will take place in Hyderabad on sets very similar to Baahubali. It will be filmed on a grand scale and if everything goes according to plan, the first part will be unveiled next year."
Bankrolled by Hema Rukmini, the magnum opus will be divided in two halves. The flick will be on the backdrop of 18th century AD that will also star Arya and Jayam Ravi. The first poster of the movie was unveiled at the 70th Cannes Film Festival in May last year. Ms Haasan had also started her prep for the role including training for sword fighting. However, now that the cadbury girl is on board, we can't wait for the fireworks on the screen. The movie will go on the floors in July and will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. We hope Disha makes fullest of this golden opportunity!
