Believe it or not... Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda's film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan released alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and even beat Karan Johar's film's first day collection at the box office.

Yesterday Karan Johar and team celebrated 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The entire cast and crew – Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji was present at the do, Salman Khan who did a special appearance in the movie skipped the event. In fact, the gen next celebrities of Bollywood Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter were also in attendance. However, yesterday another movie celebrated the 20 year mark and that was Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan that also feature Madhuri Dixit Nene, Raveena Tandon and Baahubali fame Ramya Krishnan. Yes, that’s right Shah Rukh Khan was on a rise and Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan were already established stars in Bollywood. But October 16, 1998 also proved that Hindi cinema was changing and the stars were also changing. While the buzz around BMCM was strong and fans were eager to see Govinda, Madhuri and Big B in one frame, it was SRK’s KKHH that managed to beat the movie at the box office. One of the highlights of Govinda’s this film was the song with Dhak Dhak girl. Of course the movie also boasted of a very strong star cast.
