The drama from Love Island UK 2019 refuses to leave us. In a heartbreaking update, the fans of the show learned that the grand finale winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea are no longer together. The couple hit the road to splitsville just 5 weeks after the show ended. What was even more heartbreaking was the way these two once-in-love birds parted ways. As per the initial reports, Amber, 22, was dumped by Greg, 24, over a text message.  Ouch! “Amber is devastated. She thought he was a lovely guy, but he's made his feelings clear over text, which isn't very sensitive," a source told The Sun.

But after the news broke and became a major trend on social media, Greg narrated his side of the story on a late-night talk show. The reality TV star, studying to become a lawyer, denied the reports that he broke up with Amber over a text. As per Greg, the reason he called it was because he was being realistic and not because they were not in love. "So, we're mad about each other, what's not to be mad about? She's gorgeous, smart, funny personality, she's the Queen of Love Island for a reason. But you need to be realistic about the situation," he said, adding, "She lives in the UK, every brand wants to work with her, every event wants her there, of course, she deserves all of it and I decided to come back to Ireland and do my thing here,"

He continued, "I'm trying to get to the Olympics, I've got my law exams coming up so we're both so jam-packed busy and you need to take these opportunities by the scruff of the neck. The story doesn't end there. Martin Tweedy, Amber's good friend who handles her social media while she was on the show, responded to Greg's comments on social media.

Taking a dig at Greg, Mart added, ‘He has no heart. He used her to get where he is. I have no pity. Some men are scum.’ And there is more. Amber and her friends, some whom she met on Love Island, went on an Instagram Live after the news spread. One of the fans asked in the comments, if Amber was OK. Amber's friend Mandi shouted from the background, "You all wanna know the answer but we can only break the news to you through text."
