Dhadak starring Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor is the remake of the blockbuster Marathi movie Sairat. The Karan Johar production has more gloss and drama compared to the original. But as they say one shouldn't copy directly, for copies are cheap. While we liked the trailer of the film, what did not quite surprise us was the Zingaat number that has found its odd adaptation in the movie.
We must add here that Ishaan and Janhvi have impressed us majorly with their youthful charm and chemistry (Ishaan especially is super impressive with his zestful dance moves), the song pales in comparison with the original number. Ajay Atul's original creation had the whole country dancing to its beats but this one with Kunal Gajawala's voice is not exactly great.
So Sairat fans from the world over reacted furiously when the newer version is pitted against the original one. If you are listening to the beats for the first time you may love the song but the Sairat fans vouch for the original zany mad number. Here's what Sairat fans from all over the world have to say. We compiled the choicest reactions.
There is originality in #Sairat , which unfortunately @karanjohar movies can never have. I think there should be no doubt in anyone’s mind which #Zingaat is better. They actually fu**ed it.
Sairat ofcourse. Nepotism ke ChaCha ne pura vaat Laga diya
In every movie sequel there is a scope of change or make it better from previous. But I think you can't change the original feel. #Sairat is clear win here. All the best to #Dhadak team, but it's always be good for newcomers to start with new story.
Of course #Sairat . I don't think Dhadak can carry out any of the elements of #Sairat with that much perfection. #Sairat has a soul where Dhadak lose it
Karan johar uska khud ka masala dalega toh aise hi hone wala hai. Sairat isliye chali kynki innocent thi. It looked natural and flawless but ye dhadak is full of overrated things like karan johar movies always have.
Obviously MARATHI! It has energy. And most importantly it completely sublimes with the natural flow of the movie. No one dances in life like the Choregraphed Hindi version. Hindi version has lost the very basic thing which made #Sairaat a hit, NATURALNESS! Hindi version sux!
