After tasting success with her last outing Padmavat, Deepika Padukone we thought would be signing multiple films. But contradictory to our assumption Deepika has no releases this year at all. This for an actress who has been both critically acclaimed and monetarily successful with her films at the ticket windows. Her journey in Bollywood movies has been noteworthy indeed. For someone who was literally written off for (lack of) acting chops in the initial phase of her career, Dippy improved hugely before becoming the first choice of major filmmakers.

So the tall lady who has impressed us immensely with her performances in movies such as Cocktail, Piku, Finding Fanny, RamLeela, Bajirao Matani to name a few, has suddenly stopped her impressive graph from scaling dizzying heights by not signing any movies. How did this happen! Well, naysayers are believing it is boyfriend Ranveer Singh who is responsible for diverting Deepika's attention from her career.

Some fans even vented their fury in Instagram posts that clearly hint at the possibility that Ranveer wants Deepika to focus on their much-discussed relationship. The two are soon going to tie the knot and Ranveer wants Deepika to focus on that rather than on her movie offers. Take a look at this Instagram post!

According to reports Deepika is only signing on the dotted lines for events or for endorsement offers. A source also claims that it's not that Ranveer is advising her to stay away from the movies at the moment. It's just that Dippy wants to be super calculative about what she is signing next, which has to be really substantial for her to grow as an actor!
