Deepika Padukone Does Not Like Watching Movies With Boyfriend Ranveer Singh – Here’s Why
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are grabbing headlines off late for their rumoured destination wedding and of course PDA on social media. The couple has managed to stay strong and if rumours are anything to go by then they may just be man and wife before the end of this year. Guess despite their closeness Ranveer Singh still refers to his girlfriend Deepika as “my lady” during his interactions with the media. In a recent interview, the Simmba hero revealed a secret about his relationship. The actor confessed that his “lady” does not want to watch certain kinds of films with Ranveer.
The Gully Boy talked about his passion for movies and described himself as a moviegoer. Ranveer confessed that he gets emotional while watching films, when asked by the host if he cries, he said, “Water works. Bawling in the halls.” The actor then went on to talk about how celebrities are guarded about reacting to a film at screenings. He said, “In trials people are not very reactive. They don’t give it away. I can go to PVR director’s cut and watch Baahubali and turn it into Chandan cinemas Friday night. I scream and I clap... Baahubali toh I was off my seat clapping and screaming Mahendra Baahubali!!! I get fully taken in.”
If you were ever annoyed by a Salman Khan fan at a movie theatre then you should not watch a film with Ranveer because according to the actor’s own admission, “I watch Salman Khan movies and it’s a shared experience and I’m screaming Bhai till your voice goes.”
The ’83 hero revealed why Deepika Padukone does not like watching films with him, “My lady refuses to watch certain films; she’ll watch films that don’t do that to me.”
Ranveer Singh also talked about picking movies during a date, “I definitely don’t get to pick that (now). But back in the day when we were in the adolescent years... the current millennial equivalent is Netflix and chill. When you want to call somebody to “watch” a movie you’d play Cruel Intentions.”
Ranveer is such a cinephile that he doesn’t mind being flocked by fans for catching a movie in a theatre. The actor added, “It’s a bit tedious now to watch a film (in a theatre), I’m willing to take 150 selfies to go watch the film with audience that has paid money to watch a movie.”
And if Ranveer had just 24 hours left here are the filmi picks that the actor would chose to watch, “Ram Lakhan, Hum, Raja Babu, Judwaa and Shola Aur Shabnam and Ajooba.” Singh highly recommends Will Smith’s Life Is Beautiful to everyone because this movie did not just impact him, but also changed his life, “If you can watch one movie in life watch Life Is Beautiful.”
And anyone who felt that this young perfectionist star would only work for the love of craft, well he will and he does not see why a commercial Bollywood film does not get enough respect. The actor said, “I feel at home when I’m on Rohit Shetty set. I feel like I’ve accomplished, I feel like I’ve earned the opportunity to do this. I’m as Hindi film hero as it gets. I feel like I want to do Simmba 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.”
Well Ranveer, we wouldn't complain as long as you promise to be your entertaining best.
