Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s destination wedding in Italy has been the talk of town for last two months. The couple had kept things under wraps, however, on October 21 both Ranveer and Deepika took to their social media page to share news of their marriage with fans and well wishers. This was the same day that Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan 6 was to premiere and Deepika was to make an appearance alongside ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s ladylove Alia Bhatt. Those who watched the episode knew that Deepika was tight lipped about her wedding. While we saw Ranveer and Deepika personally inviting their near and dear ones in Bollywood, the Lake Como wedding ceremonies in Italy is an extremely private affair. As per basic calculations, Ranveer and Deepika will be hosting at least 300 people inclusive of their entourage of make-up artists, stylists, wedding planners, photographers and other teams organising the ceremony. The accommodation cost for this crowd at CastaDiva Resort and Spa will itself cost the stars a whopping Rs 10 crore. And going by the security arrangements it would not be wrong to assume that the couple has spent another couple of crores at least.

Looking at Deepika-Ranveer’s wedding scenario reminds us of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Like the Padmaavat helmer, the actors too have indulged in order to have their perfect wedding venue and arrangements. Bhansali is known to be an extremely private and guarded person, especially on sets. We rarely see leaked pics or details of his films. The one picture that was posted on social media was by Harshdeep Kaur, who is one of the performers at Ranveer-Deepika’s sangeet. However, reports suggest that on the couple’s request the singer too pulled down her post. Interestingly, Harshdeep did not leak any photographs from the actual function, but only posed at the venue for her own picture. While fans may not be treated to photos yet, we have information about the sangeet ceremony.

Apparently, Ranveer played the perfect partner when Deepika teared up during her engagement. It seems the actor danced to one of his own Bollywood songs and even played a dhol at his sangeet. The guests we hear are having a gala time in Italy and the hospitality and arrangements are superb. However, the only disappointment is the security and no mobile phones diktat. But we bet that near and dear ones wouldn’t want to ruin Ranveer-Deepika’s big day.
