Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna's Dear Comrade released on July 26. The film has opened to positive reviews from both critics and masses alike. Karan Johar knew that the movie is going to be loved by a huge set of people, which is why he brought the remake rights after he saw it a few days before the release. So much that he didn't even mind paying a huge amount of money for the rights. According to a Times Of India report, KJo has shelled out Rs 6 crore to buy the Hindi remake rights of Dear Comrade.

Why this is newsworthy because it's the highest amount any producer has paid to get the remake rights of any film, the report further reads. It is also being said that Karan was not the only one who was looking to remake Dear Comrade in Hindi as Sajid Nadiadwala, Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Vijay Galani were trying to buy the remake rights as well. Clearly, Karan's bid was the highest and hence Dear Comrade's Hindi version will be produced by him under Dharma Productions. Janhvi Kapoor And Ishaan Khatter To Star In The Hindi Remake Of Dear Comrade?

As for who will be cast in the Hindi version, there were rumours that Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter will be stepping into the shoes of Rashmika and Vijay respectively. However, Karan recently clarified that no one has been considered or approached for the remake as of now. The filmmaker on Thursday evening tweeted: "All the best and big success to the team of Dear Comrade on July 26! Also a clarification! No lead actors have been considered or approached for the film as yet," the filmmaker tweeted a couple of days ago.

Considering Karan has paid a huge amount, we are sure he will go all out and have a perfect cast and the director for the Hindi version of Dear Comrade. We cannot wait for the official announcement.
