Badhaai Ho, which starred Neena Gupta, Ayushmann Khurrana, Gajraj Rao and Surekh Sikri was easily one of the best films to come out of Bollywood last year. While the story was something fresh, the cast did full justice to their respective roles and while doing that they all managed to impress a huge set of people. If you thought that you won't get to see the same combination of actors in another film soon, well you were wrong. Ayushmann, Neena and Gajraj are coming together yet again for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, which is the sequel to Ayushmann's previous film, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.

This is a result of the chemistry that the three of them had in Badhaai Ho. “Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, who played the lead roles in Badhaai Ho, will be seen reuniting for Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan. Their chemistry and comic timing in Badhaai Ho made them a household name and the makers wish to replicate the same magic in Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan sequel. Ayushmann too shares a warm camaraderie with the duo. The makers are yet to zero in on the second actor opposite Ayushmann in the movie,” a source was quoted by Pinkvilla. Ayushmann Khurrana To Re-unite With Andhadhun Director Sriram Raghavan?

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh sort of gave a confirmation as he tweeted:

However, this is not the only reason why we are eagerly waiting to see Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. You see, this one is a gay love story, something that we don't see coming out of Bollywood very often. Which male actor will be paired opposite Ayushmann is not known yet. Recently, it was rumoured that it will be Rajkummar Rao, who will star opposite Ayushmann, but he denied all the reports. Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is being produced by Aanand L Rai.

In a press statement, Ayushmann said about the film, “It is a beautiful story told in the quintessential Aanand L Rai style of filmmaking that will touch your hearts and leave a smile on your face. It is one of the most brilliant films that I have read in a long time and it handles the subject of homosexuality really sensitively. It is a pleasure to collaborate again with the master storyteller of our times. It is an out and out entertaining film that will also make you think and that’s the hallmark of good cinema.”
