Can Shah Rukh Khan end 2018 with a bang? Sure, there is Ranveer Singh's Simmba also coming out in a week, but as of now, all eyes are on this entertainer. Shah Rukh Khan plays a vertically challenged man called Bauua Singh in this film, an aspect that has been a talk of the town for the last couple of years. Directed by Tanu Weds Manu and Raanjhanaa fame Aanand L Rai, Zero also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, with Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Abhay Deol in supporting cast. We are watching Zero right now and here's what we have to say about the first half of the film. To the Moon and Back! Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's New Zero Poster is Dropping Major Hints About the Plot of the Film.
"Bauua Singh is not your usual protagonist. Being vertically challenged is the least of his problem. In his own words, he is a kameena. The first half established his character as such. And also his sort of love story with Afia, a scientist who suffers from cerebral palsy. And of course, his obsession with Babita Kumari, the actress, which becomes an obsession when she kisses him out of the blue. There comes a point in his life where he has to choose between the two and that's where Zero gets its interval moment.
The first half is very light-hearted thanks to Himanshu Rai's sparkling dialogues and Shah Rukh Khan and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub's camaraderie. The VFX to make SRK look like a dwarf is too good. While King Khan appeases to the galleries, it is Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif who shine as performers. The picturisation of Mera Naam Tu is something that will stay with you in the first half."
Picture Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Dost, so do make sure you watch this space for the complete review of Zero.
