One of the most anticipated movies of 2018 is Aanand L Rai's Zero. A couple of days back the first full-fledged high on emotions and VFX trailer of the film was released and left the majority impressed. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead role, all playing characters who are struggling with life in a way or other. While SRK plays Bauua, a dwarf man, Anushka plays, Aafia, a wheelchair-bound genius. And Katrina Kaif plays Babita Kumar, a Bollywood diva, and seems to be struggling with alcoholism. Well, if it was up to Katrina she would have been playing the role that went to Anushka. The director of the film and the actors are seen chatting up a storm in a video, released by the production house, in which some revelations are made.
The video seems to have been shot right after or right before the trailer launch, as the three actors and the director are in the same clothing that they wore to the launch event. But coming to the more important topic here. The Zero crew is seen talking about their favourite character in the film. Upon her turn, Katrina says that she cried while listening to Aafia's character and wanted to play the role. Aanand confirms that Katrina did indeed want to play that role.
Watch Katrina talking about wanting to play Anushka's role in the video below:
Well, call this a silver lining but Katrina does get to play the role. In its own capacity. If hints from the trailer are to go by Katrina, as an actress in the film, will be acting in a biopic based on Aafia's, Anushka's character, life. Let us see how that goes.
