Zero Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan's Film Won't Break the Opening Day Record of Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan
SRK's film is likely to collect Rs 30 crore on its opening day.
Filmmaker Aanand L Rai's directorial venture Zero is releasing tomorrow, December 21, and everyone is super kicked about Shah Rukh Khan finally gracing the big screen almost after a year and a half. The fact King Khan will be seen be opposite his Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif once again has only doubled the excitement amongst his fans and moviegoers all over. Since there is a great buzz around the film, it's very much likely that SRK starrer will turn out to be a crowd pleaser. But will Zero rake in more than Rs 50 crore on its opening day and break the record of Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan? Doesn't look like as per the experts. To the Moon and Back! Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's New Zero Poster is Dropping Major Hints About the Plot of the Film.
Film exhibitor and distributor Akshaye Rathi told us that in worst case scenario Zero should collect Rs 30 crore on its opening day. He also said that the numbers could go up to Rs 40 crore if the film receives positive response early on. Now that would make for a smashing first-day collection for Khan considering his last release Jab Harry Met Sejal turned out to be a big dud at the box office. Zero Movie Cast – Who’s Playing Who? Shah Rukh Khan As Bauua Singh, Katrina Kaif As Babita, Anushka Sharma As Aafia, Know All Characters From the Film.
Though the film's advance booking opened on Sunday, December 16, the ticket sales picked up only last evening. Since then the response has been pretty good and the film is also doing well down South especially in Chennai as far as Zero's advance booking is concerned.
Overall, SRK and Aanand L Rai's collaboration seems to be heading in the right direction. With a talented star cast, brilliant VFX and an interesting storyline, Zero it seems is all set to rule at the box office. It may or may not break any box office records but one thing is sure - King Khan is back with a bang and we wish he hits the bullseye at the box office this time around with Zero.
