Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Zero has been struggling at the box office ever since it released on December 21. Despite the positive buzz around the film and the makers going all out to promote it on social media, the love triangle directed by Aanand L Rai neither appealed to the critics nor did it manage to impress the audience big time. On its opening day, Khan's highly anticipated film merely earned Rs 20.14 crore at the Indian box office.  Zero underperformed over its first weekend as well and ended up minting Rs 59.07 crore at the ticket windows. Zero Box Office: Shah Rukh Khan’s Film Is a Disaster That Cannot Be Saved Despite Late Positive Reviews and Upward Trend – Here’s Why.

Though the film held up on its first Monday and did pretty well on Tuesday which was the Christmas holiday, SRK starrer again witnessed a dip in the collections on Wednesday, day 6. As per media reports and early estimates, Zero raked in approximately Rs 8 crore on its sixth day at the domestic box office.

While Shah Rukh's film is already having a tough time pulling the crowd to the theatres, things will only get worse from tomorrow onwards as Simmba is finally arriving in the cinema halls. Starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, the cop drama has generated great buzz and excitement amongst the moviegoers and is very much likely to perform well all over India. Simmba Movie: Review, Box Office Collection, Budget, Story, Trailer, Music of Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Rohit Shetty Film.

With Simmba releasing and Kannada movie KGF Chapter 1 minting big money at the box office, it seems Zero would be out of theatres sooner than later. Made on a reported budget of Rs 200 crore, the Aanand L Rai directorial is Khan's most expensive film made to date. And therefore is even more sad to see the film crumble at the box office.
