Shah Rukh Khan's recent release, Zero, is struggling with bad reviews and not-so-strong word of mouth. While the movie has its own charm and each actor had different challenges to face for his role, critics and Twitterati are having field time in thrashing it left, right and centre. After a decent opening day collection (20.14 crore), it's essential for the film to gain momentum in its first weekend and cash in on Christmas holiday. Though the movie couldn't beat Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan and Salman Khan's Race 3 with its first day numbers, it needs a steady run to enjoy good overall business. Shah Rukh Khan's Zero, Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju, Rajinikanth's 2.0 - 13 Most Divisive Films to Come Out in 2018.

Speaking of business, Shah Rukh Khan's previous five releases too received a lukewarm response at the box office. From Raees to Jab Harry Met Sejal and even Dilwale, SRK's films have not enjoyed a bumper opening and his last big opener is still 2014 release, Happy New Year. Yes, it's worrisome and the actor needs to buck up. On that note, let's quickly go through the first day numbers of his last five releases and fortunately, Zero comes in third. Virat Kohli Plays a Perfect Husband, Watches Anushka Sharma's Zero in Melbourne - Watch Video.

Happy New YearRs 45 crore

Dilwale- Rs 21.50 crore

Zero - Rs 20.14 crore

Fan- Rs 19.20 crore

RaeesRs Rs 20 crore

Jab Harry Met Sejal- Rs 15 crore

Many critics and trade analysts are debating if Shah Rukh Khan has lost his old charm or the Khans are no longer a big thing in the industry. After the disastrous outing of TOH and Race 3, is it valid to point out that Aamir, Salman and SRK are not the big names anymore? Well, the debate will always go on and let's hope the argument doesn't end up proving right.
