Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif's Zero is currently the talk of the town. The big budget love triangle which is releasing tomorrow, December 21, has been directed by none other than Aanand L Rai. With a terrific star cast, brilliant visual effects and a director as talented and as successful as Rai, Zero indeed has all the ingredients that a film needs to appease the audience and the critics alike. No wonder, the advance booking for the film opened on Sunday, December 16, itself. But has the response been phenomenal towards the advance booking? Zero Box Office Prediction: Is Shah Rukh Khan's Film Going to Be the Biggest Hit of 2018?
Film exhibitor and distributor Akshaye Rathi told us, "The advance booking for the film is good. Till now, the whole discussion around the show splitting between KGF and Zero is still underway. So advance booking is open to an extent but not in entirety. But the response so far has been pretty good."
According to BoxOfficeIndia.com, the advance booking for Zero picked up today morning after getting an average response from the moviegoers. The report further stated, "The advance is well short of the likes of Thugs Of Hindostan and Tiger Zinda Hai but it is pretty much expected as those films were big action films and this is more of a love story. The advance is building momentum slowly and more importantly the momentum should continue on Friday and through the weekend and there will be no looking back." Interestingly, Shah Rukh's film is also doing well in Chennai as far as the advance booking for the film is concerned. South industry trade expert Ramesh Bala tweeted in the morning, 'Among Dec 21st releases, #Zero and #Maari2 lead #Chennai city adv. bookings.' Looks like after a slow start the advance booking for Zero has finally started in full swing and that's a good sign for the film.
Made on a reported budget of Rs 200 crore, Zero is Shah Rukh Khan's most expensive film made to date. The Aanand L Rai directorial also stars Salman Khan, Abhay Deol and late Sridevi in a cameo. The film is about Bauua Singh (SRK) who is short stature and is, therefore, unable to find a life partner for himself until he meets NASA scientist Aafia Bhinder (Anushka). She suffers from cerebral palsy. But their relationship goes awry after Bauua gets too close to Babita, an alcoholic diva.
