Yash Johar was a proud father whose production company Dharma Productions touched reached the sky with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhii Gham. All this is because of his son Karan Johar. For those who aren't aware, Shah Rukh Khan first floated his company in 2000 called Dreamz Unlimited. Their first feature was Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. Johar handled the distribution of the film. There were reports that the price of the film sold to the CI (Central India) territory distributors was lower.

Commenting on it, SRK had said in an old Rediff interview, "If Yashji has reduced the price, it must be because the C I territory is being perceived as not very good for the fun film which Phir Bhi... is."
