Today is World Vegan Day. We are not judging you if you do not know about veganism. It is never too late to learn new things in life. First of all, being a vegan is different than being a vegetarian. In veganism, apart from not having any kind of meat, one also abstains from having any dairy products. As per The Vegan Society, Veganism is "a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose".
World Vegan Day is celebrated every on the first of every November. The event was established in 1994 by Louise Wallis, then Chair of The Vegan Society in the United Kingdom, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the organisation.
