World Animal Day 2018: Sidharth Malhotra Talks About Acknowledging And Adopting Animals - Watch Video

Animal enthusiast Sidharth Malhotra shared how respecting animals, adopting them, accepting them and giving them the space that rightfully belongs to them would be the best way to celebrate this day.

Every year, October 4th is celebrated as World Animal Day. Pets all over the world have been glammed up along with various activities that they'll be participating in. On the same, animal enthusiast Sidharth Malhotra also shared how respecting animals, adopting them, accepting them and giving them the space that rightfully belongs to them would be the best way to celebrate this day. He said, "We need to open our arms to the animals of the world. So many need our help. Some need to be adopted, some need basic care & some need to live in their natural habitat. The least we can do is talk & acknowledge. Participate. Show you care. Spread the word. #WorldAnimalDay" In the video, he is seen trying to get to know the elephants better while petting them with affection. On a professional front, Sidharth has currently teamed up with Parineeti Chopra for Jabariya Jodi. The shooting of the same has already kickstarted and both the actors, who previously worked in Hasee Toh Phasee, are excited to team up again.

Regarding the film, Sidharth stated, “I was searching for a script like Jabariya Jodi. It just didn't happen by chance. I happened to meet Shaileshji (Singh, producer) six months ago. He has made beautiful and small-town films like Tanu Weds Manu. He shared the script of Jabariya Jodi. Our energies just matched.” “After a couple of months, I called up Ekta (Kapoor) and said, ‘I’ve got this great script and I believe Balaji Productions would be the right producer for it’. And here we are in Lucknow making this film,” he concluded.
