Akshay Kumar, at one point, was the most sought after action hero in Bollywood. His films that came out in the 90s were high on hardcore action and stunts. While the actor continues to enjoy this genre, over the years he has successfully tapped into other film genres as well – be it romantic, comedy, thriller or stories based on true events.  And with his recent release Kesari, Akshay now has a historical war drama under his belt as well. An actor’s filmography can’t get any more diverse than this, right? Kesari Box Office Collection Day 7: Akshay Kumar's Historical Drama Becomes the Fastest Film To Enter the Rs 100 Crore Club in 2019.

Also, Khiladi Kumar has been very consistent at getting cash registers ringing at the box office. In the last decade itself, he has delivered 9 films that went on to enter the Rs 100 crore club. In fact, Kesari which is directed by Anurag Singh is the latest to join the coveted list. Yes, its Akki’s 10th film that has hit the century. But what makes him tick at the BO? More than the films, it’s his star power that has grown leaps and bounds in the past few years. He has truly emerged as the mass hero in Bollywood. Even when his films have been mediocre and garnered not-so-great reviews, they have minted big money at the ticket windows. In a way, critics have never affected his film business. And that's the most important thing.

Gold, which released last year, was a poorly executed film and yet it crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office. In fact, it recovered the money and also made some profit over it. Gold Box Office Report: Akshay Kumar Beats John Abraham By A Big Margin, Details Inside!

Toilet Ek Prem Katha came out in 2016 and received a lukewarm response from the critics. However, the film struck a chord with the audience and easily went past the Rs 100 crore mark.

Housefull 3 was not just slammed by the critics but it didn’t impress the aam janta either. But still, the comic caper made it to the Rs 100 crore club. Even when Rustom joined the club, it surprised many.

The fact that Akshay's connect with his audience is so strong that his star power at the box office has only gotten better with each passing film. He may not be a Khan or a Kapoor but then Akshay doesn't need any heavyweight surname to rule the box office. His star power is just enough!
