Salman Khan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Bharat. The film is all set to be his big Eid release and just when we thought things were going smoothly for the film, it seems the film has now gotten into a legal soup. According to a report in Times Now, the Ali Abbas Zafar film is landing into a legal trouble thanks to its name. The report suggests that a PIL has been moved in Delhi High Court against the Salman Khan film seeking the change in its title. Oops! As per the report, the petitioner says that the film's title violates Section 3 emblems and names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act. According to the act, the word Bharat cannot be used for commercial purposes. This is of course, not the first time, a PIL has been filed relating to an element of the film like its title. The petitioner further also raises a problem over a particular dialogue from the Salman Khan film. According to the petitioner, one of the dialogues in the film compares the lead character to the nation, because both are named 'Bharat' and that is hurtful to the patriotic sentiments.
Now, we will have to wait and watch how the Delhi High Court responds to this PIL. If it moves in favour of the petitioner, the makers may have to change the film's title. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have currently been everywhere promoting the film. Bharat also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff among others and is an interesting drama that follows the journey of its lead, 'Bharat' in different phases. The Ali Abbas Zafar film is all set to release on June 5.
