Will Akshay Kumar be a Part of Special 26 Sequel? Neeraj Pandey Answers

Akshay Kumar- Manoj Bajpayee starrer Special 26 won mass appreciation with its well- written plot and strong lead cast. The heist thriller kept everyone at the edge of the seats and the twist in the end made the fans crave for a sequel. It seems the makers gauged the expectations of the fans! Director Neeraj Pandey is all set to come up with the sequel. However, the big question is that whether Akshay Kumar will be a part of this film or not! The possible titles have also been registered by the filmmakers for this much awaited part-2.

As per the reports in DNA, a source said, " Neeraj is planning to start work on the Special 26 sequel. The film was critically-acclaimed and it had also got its due at the box office."

Talking about the registration of titles with The Film and Television Producers Guild Of India, an insider revealed to the daily, "The titles that Neeraj’s Friday Filmworks have registered are Special 2019, Special 2020, Special 2021 and Special 2022. The team has chosen these titles, because they still don’t know which year the film will release. They will pick one of them, depending on their release date."

When the daily confirmed it with the director himself, he said, "“Yes, we have registered a few titles. Let’s see when work starts. Like I mentioned, I still haven’t decided which film I’ll do next. But the titles are such that it could be in that year.” But whether Akki will be part of this film? Neeraj says, "I won’t be able to comment on that. I don’t have any clue about it.”

Meanwhile, Neeraj Pandey directed Aiyaary starring Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet, Manoj Bajpayee in the lead is set to hit the screens on February 16. Do you wish to see Khiladi Kumar in the Special 26 Sequel?
