Sonam K Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja's romance is what we called a modern-day fairytale. She's so smitten by him and he's head over heels in love with her. The couple who tied the knot in May this year should be thanked for reinstating our faith in the institution called marriage. They are a classic example of made for each other and a love like that is hard to find these days. However, it wasn't love at first sight for this gorgeous looking couple. In fact, Anand was keen for his very good friend to date Sonam. In Voot's brand new talk show,  Feet Up With The Stars, the Veere Di Wedding actress revealed when and how did Anand propose to her really. One and half years after Sonam started dating Anand, he wrote a long letter on her birthday saying how he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. But since it wasn't any formal proposal, Sonam ignored it at that time. This was in June. Few months down the line when the actress was enjoying a great holiday with her beau in New York, he decided to pop the question. Sonam recalled how it was one of the worst days in their relationship where she was just sulking and getting irritated. However, when the duo was walking on the street together or should we say, Sonam was walking and he was cycling, he suddenly stopped, went down on his knees in the middle of a New York street and asked her to marry him. The actress was too excited and taken aback by this gesture and who won't be? The actress further revealed how Anand insisted on asking her parents to allow them to tie the knot. Her father Anil Kapoor always loved him and mom, Sunita, too found him lovely because he was well-educated. Their marriage was one of the most talked about events of this year and we are still hung over their beautiful pictures. Guess, it's time we ogle at them once again.
