Let us begin with Sara’s first one-on-one interview in which she disclosed her age. The gorgeous star had appeared on BBC Asian Network speaking to Haroon Rashid ahead of her Bollywood debut. The journalist began the interview by asking, “How many years have you dreamt of living this life (becoming an actress)?” To this, Sara replied, “For as long as I can remember...So, I would say 23 years, because that's old I am.” And then she continued narrating how as a four-year-old, she enacted television commercials at her home and all. However, there’s a slight problem in the above statement if you look up her age online. Google pegs the actress to be ‘about 25 years’ and that she is born in September 1993. If you pay a visit to her parents’ Wikipedia pages, beginning with her mother and yesteryear actress, Amrita Singh's, it tells a different story. It states, “Singh married actor Saif Ali Khan in 1991. Their daughter Sara Ali Khan was born on 12th August 1993, and son Ibrahim Ali Khan in 2001.” Similar information is given on Saif’s biography as well, stating, “While filming Bekhudi, Khan met actress Amrita Singh whom he married in October 1991. Singh gave birth to their daughter (Sara Ali Khan) and son (Ibrahim) in 1993 and 2001 respectively.”

So, there are two birthdays mentioned – September 1993 and August 12, 1993. And we know, the latter to be the right one as Sara celebrated her birthday this year on that date. It was a starry affair. However, the question remains – is she 23 or 25? Well, actresses in Bollywood are known for hiding their real age, and it looks like the new crop of young stars are also keen on following this trend.
However, let the focus be on Sara's big year with not one but two films releasing in a span of three weeks. First up is Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath, an inter-religious love story based on the 2013 North India floods, slated to hit theatres on December 7, 2018. It will see Sara pair up with Sushant Singh Rajput. And in the last week of December, on the 28th, Sara will again light up the screen with Rohit Shetty's directed film, Simmba with none other than Ranveer Singh.
