Ranveer Singh is already familiar to the Gujju slang, enough to bring precision and authenticity to his role in Jayeshbhai Jordaar! The actor, who has previously played a Gujju character in one of the adverts with Alia Bhatt for a travel company, is simply reprising his role as yet another Gujarati in the film.

The actor, who is signing films left, right and centre, announced that he will be teaming up with debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar for his upcoming project, Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Singh shared a video too where he is speaking to Divyang with a Gujju accent as part of the announcement. Raving about the script, Singh wrote on Instagram, "Its a ‘miracle script’!!! 😍 Thrilled to announce my next film - ‘JAYESHBHAI JORDAAR’ 🎥 @yrf #JayeshbhaiJordaar" However, it was his impression of a Gujarati that convinced us how he is ideal for this part!

Speaking about the project, Singh told DNA, “I’ve been immensely fortunate to have collaborated with some of the finest filmmakers in our country. It is gratifying that they believed in my craft and chose me to lead their cinematic vision. All that I have achieved as an actor today is due to these titanic forces showing their faith in me. I’m glad that today I find myself in a position where I can recognise exceptional talent and wholeheartedly back the vision of a brilliant new writer-director like Divyang. Jayeshbhai Jordaar will be my next release after ’83.”

Singh is currently wrapping up '83. Apart from these two projects, the actor also has Karan Johar's Takht, which reunites him with his Gully Boy co-star, Ala Bhatt.
