Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff-Vaani Kapoor's action film War is making a lot of noise on social media. The high octane scenes and the cast is enough for the fans to stay curious about this YRF flick. The makers recently released a song named "Ghungroo" starring Hrithik and Vaani in the lead. Of course, it is a visual treat to watch two fine dancers of B-town dance together. However, did you know that this song is totally inspired (or should we say copied) by an old Marathi song (laavni), "Ghungru Tutle Re" from 1979 film Janaki? War: The Trailer of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's Action Entertainer is Amazing But these Memes on it are Amusing.
The original song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar, composed by Hridaynath Mangeshkar and written by Sudhir Moghe. The track remains one of the most memorable and loved laavnis to date. Hence, we wonder if that is why composers of the new song, Vishal-Shekhar and lyricist Kumaar decided to take a bit of inspiration from the same. The song from War is sung by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao.

Earlier, Shilpa was quoted saying by scroll.in, "I don’t see the point of singing 10 songs a year and them not working in any way. I’d rather sing one antara in a year, but that should stick." Well, now that the song is here, with extra beats, tweaked tune and translated lyrics, we wonder if the original composers have heard it already! If yes, what is their reaction? Speaking of the film Janaki, it had Sriram Lagoo, Ramesh Deo, Seema Deo and Ashok Saraf in prime roles. What do you think about the uncanny resemblance between the two songs?
