War Director Siddharth Anand Says Hrithik Roshan Encouraged Him to Cast Tiger Shroff for the Parallel Lead
"To rope in one actor for your movie is difficult, to get two is impossible. That's why directors don't write two-hero films. Actors don't agree to do them owing to insecurities over screen space," says War director director Siddharth Anand to a leading tabloid.

When it was confirmed that the two handsome hunks are coming together for an action drama, movie fanatics jumped with joy. Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan have earlier worked together for Bang Bang that released in 2014. In an interview to Mid-Day the filmmaker was quoted saying as, “We were waiting to do the right film together.” Siddharth also said, “Hrithik and I could see only Tiger in this part. Thankfully, he said yes to the film in a day. Had Tiger not agreed, we would have had tremendous difficulty finding a perfect match for the part. The director is highly impressed with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s professional attitude. About it Siddharth Anand further told the tabloid, “Both, Hrithik and Tiger, are at the peak of their careers. They were never competing with each other. The minute I would say cut, they went back to being normal. If they were two actors in the same age bracket vying for the same spot, there might have been issues.
