War was expected to create history at the box office but now we hear it has exceeded expectations. We told you as per trade experts, War was supposed to earn over Rs 45 crore but going by early estimates, the film has already managed to cross that to earn Rs 50 crore. Many were expecting the film to beat Thugs Of Hindostan's total of Rs 52 crore and more but that was too much to ask. While War has 4000 screens, TOH had released in 5000 screens and despite that, the film has managed to score big numbers.

War opened with more than 70% occupancy which is more than even Thugs Of Hindostan. Advance bookings sales also saw tremendous numbers of close to Rs 30 crore. No wonder that the film has managed to earn so much at the box office.

With the way it is going, War will cross the Rs 100 crore mark by Friday and post an imposing first weekend total. October 2 holiday definitely worked in its favour.
